Social Change

The media is progressing rapidly day by day and so is the enthusiasm of youth. Every youth today wants to use all of the media resources and it may be because we have so many options. However, We are using all these websites and joining different causes but still unable to make a huge change why?
On the Internet we see thousands of things everyday but we just pass them and search for the things we need  so that's why we do not take things as serious, on Internet, as we would in real. A few months ago I saw a documentary about digitalizing books and the main concern about it was that people are turning into cursory readers which means reading with haste and scant attention to detail. So if we even do not read books with the same interest and attention on a digital screen then how would we pay attention to something which does not relate to us at all? Why would we care if someone is protesting somewhere? we wont even believe it at first and even if we do we will think that non of my friends are going for it so may be its not that important. There are so many websites and issues out there that now we are almost lost in choosing and following them. We are almost as confused as Shakespeare Hamlet was "To be or not to be".

In the article by Sarah Perez there is this websites example which shows a picture and asks if the person is HIV pos or not, is it really effective in any way?
I believe it would have been more beneficial to spread the awareness in person instead of Internet because how many people will be so free to stop by every website and check every message. And anyways its a pretty well known disease its not any thing new for the people to be amazed with.

Great Cola Wars

Coke vs Pepsi
These are both in competition turned war which will never reach to an end because there is no winner there is no looser both claim victory while public is still unable to decide which one is better but a person like me can easily decide that none of them is good enough because they are bad for our health.

Mayoral Candidates

There are five major candidates that are moving around from one place to other in Toronto. They are campainging at different spots too.The 2010 Toronto municipal election will be held on October 25, 2010 to elect a mayor and 44 city councillors in Toronto, Ontario. All citizen are supposed to vote for the right person of thier choices. While voting is a responsibility so every citizen should be responsible enough to choose the right person, however, its really hard to find the right person in politics.
